JAMES TUAPUTA ~ THE FACE OF THE CULTURAL VILLAGE
James is our longest serving staff member and has been with the Cultural Village since its inception in 1988. He has quite rightly been described as the face of the Cultural Village. Our visitors will first meet James as the driver of Cultural Village bus as they are picked up from their accommodation. James is the guide in the fishing, carving and highly popular coconut hut. He is also our star performer in our show while you sit and enjoy your lunch. James is married to Mama Tuaputa and they have five children; Mata, Lois, James Jnr, Joseph & Rachel.

MAMA TUAPUTA ~ OUR COSTUME EXPERT
Mama is a highly skilled costume designer and is responsible for making all the costumes at the Village. Visitors will first meet Mama at front reception as they purchase their tickets for the tour. Mama is the guide in the Maori medicine and weaving hut and also performs in the show. Mama is married to James and they have five children.

KURA MARII PERA ~ HEAD CHEF
Kura has been with the Village for many years. She is responsible for preparing the lovely lunch our visitors enjoy at show time. Kura is also the guide in the costume hut and performs during the show. Kura is married to Matai Pera. KURA IS ON THE LEFT OF THE PHOTO

DINAH TUAPUTA ~ GUIDE/DANCER
Dinah has also been with the Village for many years. Visitors will first meet Dinah at the front reception area as she welcomes them into the Village. Dinah is the guide in the cooking hut and is a sister of James & Isa (below). DINAH IS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE PHOTO

ISA TUAPUTA ~ DANCER
Isa is our lovely quiet & shy dancer at show time. She helps out with general duties before the tour begins and can be seen getting our ‘Are Karioi’ (house of entertainment) ready for the lunch and show where she performs. Isa is a sister of James & Dinah.

REPAIO APOLLO ~ GROUNDSMAN/DRUMMER
Paio is our gentle groundsman and the most recent member of our family at the Village. Visitors will get to meet Paio at show time.

We also have David, Travel and Tai join our team at show time to drum and dance in the show.
